49. A provisional teaching licence to provide preschool education services to which section 48 refers is valid for a period of not more than 4 years and expires at the end of the third school year following the year in which it was issued.
It may be renewed for
(1)  a first period of 3 school years if its holder has earned at least 54 education credits in the teacher training program, including one practicum, referred to in section 48;
(2)  a second period of 2 school years if its holder has earned at least 90 credits, including 2 practicums, in the same program; and
(3)  a final period of one school year if its holder has earned at least 114 credits, including 3 practicums, in the same program.
